Dominique & Alex's Wedding
The Harvest Inn, St. Helena, CA
Dominique & Alex had a romantic destination wedding at the charming Harvest Inn by Charlie Palmer in the heart of Napa Valley.
We got to the Harvest Inn early in the morning on the day of the wedding to check out the property and were pleasantly greeted by the smell of fresh grass and spring flowers. Our beautiful bride Dominique and her wedding party and family members were up in their suite laughing and getting ready and were just as relaxed and care-free as Napa Valley itself. You could feel love and care for the people around her shining right through the bride and we immediately felt welcomed. The guys and our groom Alex were downstairs on one of Harvest Inn's many luscious lawns playing a casual game of soccer and having a few beers. Most of their guests traveled quite a way to get there (majority of them were from either NYC or Southern California) and it was so great to see how happy they were to be reunited for this beautiful celebration.
Dominique and Alex organized the entire wedding themselves and everything was extremely well though-out down to the last detail. Each guest had a menu that was personalized by a calligrapher and the flowers looked gorgeous among the beautiful grape vines of Napa Valley's St. Helena. The details (as gorgeous and sophisticated as they were) weren't the main attraction though. The main theme of the day was love, family, and friendship, and seeing this group of people who care about each other so deeply come together was a beautiful sight to see.
The heartfelt speeches were met with tears of joy and lots and lots of laughter, after which the guests headed inside for what ended up being one of the most fun dance parties we can remember. The live band was a huge hit and kept our bride, groom, and their guest on the dance floor until the very end of the night.
Dominique and Alex were an inspiration to us - beautiful inside and out and crazy in love. Their passion for each other and the beauty of deep human connection among all of their friends and family left a soft spot in our hearts and reminded us just how meaningful and fulfilling our job as storytellers really is.
