San Mateo Japanese Garden & Sutro Baths, San Francisco, CA

Rebecca and Masato are such a sweet couple. I shot their engagement session this past weekend and loved it, we had such a great time! It was supposed to rain all weekend long and I offered them an option to reschedule, but they decided to go ahead with the engagement session anyway, I love it when my couples are adventurous! I always feel that rain is kind of a blessing being a photographer, it makes for some great photo opportunities. It did end up raining, but just a little bit and Rebecca and Masato had a giant red umbrella ready for just such an occasion. We started the day at the San Mateo Japanese Gardens after which we drove over to the Sawyer Camp Trail for some more shots. We then had a really nice dinner at PPQ Dungeness Island in San Francisco (awesome crab, garlic noodles, and sizzling beef) and headed to the nearby Sutro Baths just when the sun started to set. I have to say, the sunset shots are some of my favorites to date and I'm so glad that we didn't end up rescheduling the shoot because the sky was amazing! I really look forward to shooting their wedding in June, it's going to be beautiful!
